HOW TO ASSIGN A JOB TO A SPECIFIC AREA AND A DIVISION?

It is important to know that when you are creating a Job for a Project, and when you already have an Area and a Division that was linked to its Project level, the Job inherits the Area and the Division selection on the Project, but are still flexible to be changed by the Schedulers and Senior Schedulers manually.

  1. On the Project Jobs form page, scroll to the Area and the Division section.

  2. If there is a pre-set Area and Division on each respective field, then those are the Area and the Division it has inherited from its Project.

  3. To change the Are and the Division assignment to a Job manually, simply click on the dropdown and select one.

  4. Don't forget to click "Save" or "Save & Close" to apply the changes you made.

If you wish to change, add or delete an Area or a Division selection from the drop down, you can do it on the Project level. It is also possible to update them on the Staff page.

However, if you are looking to update it while you are on the Jobs page, it is faster if you simply expand the Account Customer section above and quickly edit the Division or the Area drop down selection on the Project level.

HOW TO QUICKLY UPDATE THE THE AREA AND THE DIVISION DROP DOWN SELECTION WHILE YOU ARE ON A JOB'S VIEW?

  1. Expand the Customer Account section

  2. On the right, toggle to Projects tab

  3. Then scroll to down to the Area and the Division section and Edit each of them.

  4. Once you're done updating the Area and the Division selection, click the "Save" button on the Project section to apply the changes,

  5. Then scroll down to the Jobs form section and click on the drop down again to find the updates on your selection list.

If the Jobs Area and Division drop down did not show any updates, it is highly recommended to save the Job by clicking the "Save" link to the Job section as it allows to refresh the page and triggers to show the updates you made on the Area and the Division drop down selection.

You can now select the appropriate Area and Division tagging for your job, and finally, save it again.
