Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your FieldInsight account. Once enabled, you will need to enter a verification code from an authenticator app each time you log in.
Before You Start
Download an authenticator app on your mobile device. You can use apps such as:
Google Authenticator
Authy
Any other trusted authenticator app
Step 1: Open Your Profile
Log in to your FieldInsight account.
From the left-hand menu, click Profile.
This will open your profile page.
Step 2: Find Two-Factor Authentication
On your profile page, look for the Two-Factor Authentication section.
Click Set up two-factor authentication.
You will be redirected to a setup page with a QR code.
Step 3: Scan the QR Code
Open your authenticator app on your mobile device.
Use the app to scan the QR code shown on the FieldInsight setup page.
Once scanned, your authenticator app will start generating a 6-digit verification code.
Step 4: Enter the Verification Code
In FieldInsight, enter the 6-digit code shown in your authenticator app.
Then click Enable 2-Factor Authentication.
Two-factor authentication is now enabled for your account.
What Happens Next Time You Log In
The next time you log in to FieldInsight, you will be asked to enter a two-factor authentication code.
Open your authenticator app, find the current 6-digit code for FieldInsight, enter it into the verification screen, then click Verify.
Once verified, you will be logged in to your FieldInsight account.
