Duplicate sites may occasionally appear in the system. While we strive to avoid this, it can still happen. To manage these situations, FieldInsight provides a feature that allows you to merge duplicate sites seamlessly.
Merging Duplicate Sites
To merge duplicate sites, follow these steps:
Navigate to Accounts → Sites (Customers) and locate one of the duplicate sites.
Open the site record.
Find the Action buttons for the site, click "More", and select "Merge Sites".
On this page, you will select the duplicate site that needs to be merged with the one you are working on. Click "Move details from" and search for the duplicate site.
Once the duplicate site is selected, you have the following options:
Click the orange arrow next to "Move details from" to open the selected site in another window and confirm it is the correct one.
Click "Merge" to combine both sites into one.
Once the merge is completed, all elements from both sites will be merged into a single site.
What Happens When Sites Are Merged?
All jobs, notes, attachments, and assets from the duplicate site will be transferred to the primary site.
Quotes, invoices, and reports will be reassigned from the duplicate site to the primary site.
The contact details of the duplicate site will be removed, and only the primary site’s details will be retained.
