When adding custom fields or asset test questions, you have several options for field types. All field types can be displayed on both mobile and scheduler view.

Text field

Allows a single line of text to be entered. If you need more space for text, use the Text Area field instead.

Number

Accepts only numeric values.

Currency

Used for currency-related entries. This field only accepts numeric values.

Drop down list

Displays a dropdown list where you can select one option. You can add and edit the options in your list by clicking the arrow next to the field name to edit the options.

To add your options, click on "+ Item", then you will be asked to enter a name, select if it should be a default option or not, and you can even assign a colour to it.

Once all the options are set, you can:

  • Drag and rearrange options using the six-dot icon.

  • Delete an option by clicking the X.

  • Sort alphabetically by clicking "Sort Alphabetically".

When working with this field in the system, the dropdown will display the available options for selection.

Text area

A larger text box for adding notes. Unlike the Text Field, this field allows multiple lines of text.

Multi select drop down list

Works the same way as the Dropdown List, but this field allows more than one option to be selected.

The process for adding and managing options is the same as for the Dropdown List field. Check how that field works to understand how to manage the options.

When working with this field in the system, the selected options will be displayed together in the field.

Static text

Allows you to add static text for your staff, such as instructions or guidelines.

Signature

Adds a signature field to capture signatures from customers and technicians.

When using this field in the system, users can sign directly on the screen. There is also an option to add a link to Terms and Conditions or upload a PDF with terms for reference.

Phone number

A field specifically for phone numbers.

Date field

Displays a mini calendar for selecting a date.

Time field

Allows users to select a time. The time is set in 15-minute intervals.

Files

Allows file uploads that are linked to a specific field.

Image Field

Works the same way as the Files field but is specifically for images.

Checkbox

Displays a single checkbox for selection.

Web Link

Captures a website URL and allows you to display a custom name for the link.
