Project Claims: Part 2 - Initiating a Claim

Step 1: Navigate to your Project, and go to Project β†’ Claims

Under the NEW CLAIM column, you may enter either a percentage or an amount to claim for each task.

Step 2: Generate an invoice

Click on the 'Invoice' button

You should then be redirected to the Draft Invoice Page

You can click Preview to check how the invoice looks for the Customer. Invoice templates are highly customisable in FieldInsight.

You can then email it to your customer by clicking the "Email" button or the "Submit for Approval" if you have an internal approval process in place.

Review the recipient and subject, then click 'Send', and change the Invoice status to 'Awaiting Payment'

Close the invoice, and you should be redirected back to the Project Claims

Step 3: Review/Update the Claimed Invoice Details

On here, you can check the % and amount claimed, and the link to the Invoice.
In the event that you need to change the % or amount claimed, you can click on the 'Unlock' button to amend the claim.

You will then be able to update the To Claim % or the To Claim Amount.

Click on 'Update Claim'

You should be redirected back to the same invoice with the amount updated.

You can then reissue this invoice to your client.
