When you log in to FieldInsight for the first time, it may feel overwhelming since the software is new to you, and you’re still learning how everything works. This guide will walk you through the main areas of the system.
Main page
When you first log in, you’ll be directed to the Scheduler page. This is your calendar, where all your jobs will be displayed. However, there are a few key elements in the system that you should understand.
Main Navigation Menu
The left-hand menu provides access to the main areas of FieldInsight. You can navigate to these sections from anywhere within the system.
Features with an arrow can be expanded to reveal sub-options.
If the menu takes up too much space, you can collapse it by clicking the arrow in the top-right corner of the menu.
Search, Notifications, Mobile View & More
In the top-right corner, you’ll find several important functions that you’ll use regularly:
Job Search: Quickly find any job in the system.
Notification Bell: View new system notifications.
Mobile View: If your account has a Technician role, you can switch to mobile view by clicking the phone icon.
Orange Cog: Access the Settings menu.
Chat icon: Chat with support or view help documentation.
Settings Menu
Clicking the Orange Cog will open a dropdown menu with key settings and the option to sign out. Here’s what you can access:
Settings: Open the main Settings page.
Calendar: Access calendar settings.
Job Details: View or configure job details
Staff: Manage your staff members.
Integrations: Set up and manage integrations.
Support: Submit a request for help from a FieldInsight agent.
Job Navigator: Access the Job Navigator configuration page.
Your business: View or update your business details.
Payments: Manage your payment details and subscription.
Sign out: Log out of your account.
