How to change, add or remove jobs from sales documents (quote, invoice, report, purchase order (PO) or bill)

You add, remove or change jobs on a sales document (quote, invoice, report, purchase order (PO) or bill) at any time and there's no limit to the number of jobs on a documents

Open the document

Click on the document to open

Add a job

This example is showing a quote but it works the same way on Invoices, Reports, Purchase Orders (PO) and bills. In the Job & Inventory section, click on the three dots and select and select

  • Add job to add the job without copying inventory items from the job to the quote or

  • Add job with inventory to add a job and copy the item from the job to the quote

This quote is now linked to the job and will show in the Quote tab on the job

Copy items to existing job

Use the button under the inventory items to copy items in a job section to the job

Copy to a new document

Create a new document from a section, for example if you want to create an Invoice from a section on a quote, click on Copy to a new document than select Invoice. You can also select if you want to copy the jobs to the new document - if you copy the jobs, the new document will be linked to the same jobs as the original document.

Create a Purchase Order from a quote section

Create a new document from a section, for example if you want to create an Invoice from a section on a quote, click on Copy to a new document and select Purchase Order to add the items from this section to a new Purchase Order.

Remove a job

Click on the 'x' to remove a job from a quote
