How to Manage Booking/Schedule Conflicts

Manage Overlapping or Sequential Bookings

By default the system allows Technicians to be allocated to more that one job over the same time-slot.  This helps in situations where:

  • you are running concurrent install jobs and have technicians working between them depending on the days workload or completion status

  • you need flexibility to call someone off a job to attend another; ie an urgent job; ie because they are on call or are a senior attending other technician jobs for sign-off

If you do not want this setting and to be presented a warning when you attempt to assign a Technician that is already booked (partially or fully) follow the steps below and watch this brief video that shows you how to disable it.

Step 1


Click on the little orange gear icon ⚙️ in the upper right corner. Then click the Settings button at the top of the dropdown menu.

On the Settings page, from the top horizontal menu, click MISC

Under Misc, scroll down and look for Scheduling section, there is a checkbox for " Check time conflicts for new jobs"

This will basically prevent Technician being booked or overbooked for any overlapping jobs. If you don't want this feature and you allow overlapping jobs for your technician just leave that box unchecked.
